From June 26 to 29, 2026, the 2026 Annual Academic Conference of the Evidence-Based Medicine Branch of the China Ethnic Medicine Association was grandly held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Under the theme "Strengthening the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation, Evidence-Based Medicine Empowering the Inheritance and Translation of Ethnic Medicines," the conference brought together leading scholars, clinical experts, research professionals, and industry representatives from the fields of ethnic medicine, evidence-based medicine, and clinical research methodology, both domestically and internationally. Through a variety of formats including national continuing education training programs, cutting-edge academic presentations, and in-depth thematic symposia, the conference jointly charted a blueprint for the standardization, evidence-based development, and modernization of ethnic medicines.

During the conference, Guangzhou Evidence-Based Medicine Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou EBM") was officially awarded the designation of "Council Member Unit of the China Ethnic Medicine Association," marking a significant recognition by a national-level academic body of the company's professional service capabilities and industry contributions in the field of evidence-based research on traditional Chinese and ethnic medicines.

Council Meeting of the Evidence-Based Medicine Branch, China Ethnic Medicine Association

On the evening of June 26, the Evidence-Based Medicine Branch of the China Ethnic Medicine Association successfully convened the Council Meeting of the Second Council. The meeting was chaired by Liu Shaonan, Secretary-General of the Branch. The agenda included a review of the Branch's work, the appointment of additional members to the Second Council, discussions on Branch-related matters and the 2027 work plan, and the solicitation of guidance from the Association's leadership on Branch work. The successful convening of the Council Meeting laid the organizational foundation for the two days of academic exchanges that followed.

On June 27–28, the 2026 Annual Academic Conference of the Evidence-Based Medicine Branch of the China Ethnic Medicine Association officially commenced. Distinguished guests and leaders in attendance included Hai Xia, Director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (Mongolian Medicine) Heritage and Development Division of the Health Commission of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Liang Jie, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Ethnic Medicine Association, who delivered opening addresses.

The conference centered around four core themes: "Evaluation Standards and Enhancement Strategies for Evidence-Based Competence in Ethnic Minority Medicines," "New Methods and Emerging Technologies for Efficacy Evaluation of Ethnic Minority Medicines," "Advantages and Challenges of AI-Assisted Protocol Development and Paper Writing for Ethnic Minority Medicine Research," and "Drafting of Evaluation Standards for Evidence-Based Competence in Ethnic Minority Medical Institutions."

The annual conference brought together renowned experts and scholars from prestigious domestic and international institutions, including the China Ethnic Medicine Association, RMIT University (Australia), Inner Mongolia Medical University, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xinjiang Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xiyuan Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Inner Mongolia International Mongolian Hospital, Tibet Autonomous Region Hospital of Tibetan Medicine, and Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital. These distinguished speakers delivered a series of insightful keynote presentations on hot topics such as global research trends under the WHO's new Traditional Medicine Strategy, intangible cultural heritage protection and technological innovation, the theoretical structure and original thinking of ethnic medicines, and AI-empowered evidence-based decision-making.

Attendees expressed that the in-depth exchanges not only broadened their academic horizons but also provided them with innovative inspiration for integrating traditional ethnic medicine knowledge with modern evidence-based methodologies and digital tools—injecting new vitality into the inheritance and high-quality development of ethnic medicines. 

Guangzhou EBM Awarded "Council Member Unit of the China Ethnic Medicine Association"

Since its founding in 2016, Guangzhou EBM has been dedicated to providing full-industry-chain evidence-based services for traditional Chinese and ethnic medicines, and has now evolved into one of the professional platforms for new drug evaluation and translation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The conferral of the "Council Member Unit of the China Ethnic Medicine Association" designation is a strong endorsement of Guangzhou EBM's long-term commitment to evidence-based evaluation and translational services for ethnic medicines.
